The zipper design makes these way easier to get on and off than my old Velcro gaiters, and they actually stay cinched around my shoes all day. I love how the fabric doesn't soak up water from wet brush, keeping my feet noticeably drier on a rainy hike.

I was skeptical about how much lighter gaiters could actually block water, but after a full day of hiking through wet grass and drizzle, my shoes stayed bone dry. The longer cut that fully covers the laces and a bit higher up the ankle really seals things off nicely.

Slogged through three hours of drizzle on the Appalachian Trail and my laces stayed bone-dry—the full lace coverage really does its job. They cinch down snug over my trail runners without any bunching, and the lightweight fabric didn't weigh me down one bit.
