I was worried about getting clammy in rain pants, but these breathe surprisingly well during a steady climb. They kept me bone-dry through an unexpected hailstorm, and I love that they pack down to basically nothing in my pack.

Used them in a steady three-hour downpour on the JMT and stayed completely dry underneath. The way they stuff into their own pocket is tiny enough to clip to my pack strap, which means I actually carry them now instead of leaving them in the car.

The fabric feels almost paper-thin, but that's exactly why they stuff down to nothing in my pack, and they handled a solid hour of sideways rain without a single drop getting through. Honestly, the weight savings alone make these worth carrying even on sunny forecast days.
